By Road

Ranthambore is well connected with all the major cities and town through state bus service and it can be reached through private buses and taxis. Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, and Jodhpur can be easily travelled from Ranthambore.

By Train

The nearest railway station that connects Ranthambore National Park to other important cities is Sawai Madhopur Railway Station, which is located at a distance of 10 km from the park. The tourists can avail local bus, taxi, or cab to reach the Ranthambore park smoothly.

By Air

The nearest airport to reach Ranthambore National Park is Sanganer Airport in Jaipur. The distance between Jaipur and Ranthambore is about 180 km and there are regular flights for Jaipur from all the major cities including, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. The tourists can take direct taxi or bus from Sanganer Airport to reach Ranthambore safely.

SAFARI TIMING IN RANTHAMBORE

Timings for entry into, and exit from, the park vary according to the season. In winters, due to the shorter duration of daylight hours, the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is earlier.

SAFARIS

The most exciting aspect of a visit to a wildlife sanctuary is the safari into the jungles, of meeting the unexpected and completely missing the expected. Animals can be seen in a zoo also, but the dangerous thrill of actually encountering a wild beast in its natural habitat is a sure method of testing ones patience and bravado.

VEHICLE USED FOR SAFARI IN RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK

The Canters are 20 seater open bus used in Ranthambhore National Park. This is booked per seat basis. Only 20 Gypsys and 20 Canters are permitted inside the park in any one safari. As a result there is a huge demand particularly for Gypsys. It is advisable to book the Gypsys and Canters well in advance (over 75 days in advance) specially during the peak tourist season from October to March. The rates for Gypsys and Canters are on a per person basis.
